In collaboration with E4S and EPFL’s Energy Center, CLIMACT co-organises the event titled En route pour Zéro émission nette en Suisse en 2050 : La contribution du retrait du carbone, which will address CO2 sequestration in Switzerland. The event will take place on 6 May 2022 and will target a wide audience. Societal, technical and economic aspects of CO2 sequestration in the context of reaching Switzlerand net zero emission objectives by 2050 will be discussed on this occasion.

For episode 14 of the CLIMACT Seminar Series "How to move forward and act on climate change”, two topics will be discussed: "A European perspective on climate changes and its impact on power systems", with Mario Paolone and "Progress and role of photovoltaics in the global and local energy transition", with Christophe Ballif.

CLIMACT organises an apero to launch the CLIMACT Scholar community dedicated to early-career researchers active in the field of climate change and sustainability related topics. It will take place on Thursday 12 May, from 17:00 to 19:00 at the Coffee&Food, in the Vortex Building.

For its second CLIMACT Scholars event, the CLIMACT team has prepared a workshop specifically dedicated to learn how to set up an efficient publication strategy, which will be facilitated by Prof. Julia Steinberger, expert in Ecological economics and CLIMACT academic co-director.
